Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of One Community Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. One Community members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as setting up for church to overseeing our summer camp/mission trip. We feel that everything we do is a form of worship.
One Community Church is involved with Exit 0 because we feel that outreach and mission work can be done for those most in need of love and care right here in our community.  What better way to exemplify our Lord and Savior’s example than to give our time and resources feeding those who need it the most.  Not only feeding them our food but also feeding them our love through cheerful conversation and time spent together.  Jesus said it best in Matthew 5:34-36 ….‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ For information about this ministry please contact Daniel Tatum.

Worship through Prayer

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. One Community Church is a body of believers that believes in prayer. Throughout the week, we are praying for our pastors, our church members and their families, and any special requests that come up. If you are in need of a prayer or wish to have one of our pastors pray for someone or with you please reach out to us by submitting a prayer request online.

Worship through Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Whether it is helping to set up the sound equipment, singing special music or even playing in our band, these volunteers are an important part of the ministry of One Community Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Worship through Greeting

The Greeters at One Community Church fills an important role. They are the first ones to meet those coming through our doors! They not only direct attendees to their seats, welcome visitors, answer questions and provide direction. The greeting team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life. Each Sunday Small Group (SSG) takes a day to fulfill this task.

Worship through Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of One Community Church. You can check out our recent sermons on our YouTube Channel to see all of our sermons or watch our services live on Wednesday night and Sunday mornings via the Livestream link at the top of the page.  We also maintain an active twitter and Facebook group page for additional church communication.

We are excited to announce our new couples page for our website. We hope to share many valuable resources here to make your relationship stronger not only with your spouse but also with Christ.

If you are out of high school, but don’t really consider yourself “old” yet then this group is for you.

We have Christ centered discussions on a variety of topics relevant to starting life out in the big wide world of adulthood on the right path including sex, school and job performance, friends, love, drugs and alcohol, and many others. We keep it real and there is no judging in this group. We love on each other through fellowship and very competitive basketball. We would love to have you join us.   Any questions on how to be a part of our group just call Daniel Tatum 606-224-0014 or emailing dgtatum@gmail.com

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Our children’s ministry is for all children in elementary school grades K-5. We meet Sunday morning for Sunday school at 9:45 am and we have children’s church during our 11 am worship service. Also Wednesday evenings after our worship service at 6:30pm.
While you are in class we are also exploring the mysteries of the Bible. Starting in September we will become detectives exploring the Bible beginning to end. We learn in many different ways but mostly hands on through looking it up in the Bible, acting the stories out, games, crafts, snacks, songs/dance and movies.
We are also in the middle of planning two big events for the children’s department. One for the end of August and one for January. You don’t want to miss out on this great fun and bonding time.
We can’t wait to see all of you at church. We have a class for everyone.

This is our newly remodeled Nursery where your newborn to 4 years of age will enjoy themselves during worship service as well as we offer a new class for potty trained to 4 years old.
